Tara, what did you mean our fascination from lawn to street? Don't other countries have manicured lawns and flower beds? I know space is a premium and
often there is no lawn.. Just wondering...

Lawns are mostly monoculture in USA, Europe has mostly a mixture of 'meadow' for maximum pollinators & keep it 'tidy' by using several mowing heights. Of course this is larger properties.

Smaller properties are often concrete in Europe for parking. And have many beautiful gardens instead of 'lawn' in small spaces.

Different mindsets. Europeans seem to like gardening, USA likes 'landscaping'.
