City Garden, Country Garden

My realm is residential landscape design. Specifically, Queen of subdivision Landscape Design. (Younger, I would have taken this as insult. Older, I wear it as a crown.) Certainly a product of my era. More, my passion. Infertility gave me decades of time, most women don't have, for Landscape Design. Travels across the globe, with few funds, studying historic landscapes. Also, doing most of the labor in my own sweet landscape. On occasion, I'm put into a different playground. Land.
Do you know what's different about Landscape Design in a subdivision vs. land?
Nothing.

Good Morning Tara!
I'm REALLY excited to see what you do with this LAND as a project like this is close to my heart. DH and I have been looking at the area where the 40X180 building was here on the farm and I've got some idea's which include a large pond with a tiny cabin (shack) with a porch at one end. Lots of ideas...but it's one thing at a time I'm afraid. Anyway..it's fun drawing things on paper and dreaming. What a fun job you have! Hope your day is a good one.

March first, my friend! Spring is on tiptoe!
If you are ever near Chicago you can hang out with my Gracie, she would adore you! She'll even show you where the faeries live in our garden!
I am sorry for the sadness you have endured. I truly am.

Great point, same with freeways, parks, courtyards, etc. Glad you are working on a subdivision.

Esp one with those live oaks...my favorite tree!

I am delirious about your new conservatory and that you created this dream from deep longing. Nice to have the creative place to launch your other projects, wherever they might be.

Those subdivisions (and homeowners) are lucky to have the benefit of your inspiration and talent!

I am making do with my city garden, that has been tinkered with by many people over the past 85 years. Every landscape has its challenges. I so enjoy your photos!

Tara...I'm so excited for you. Land with big sky, my favorite combination. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

I know a builder out your way. Dan Buffington of Buffington Homes. He was my podiatrist when I was a Planning Commissioner.

If you ever work with him- please send him my best):- He and his wife are GREAT people to work with.
