Not Easy To Find

If you see terra cotta pots: marked-down, at a garage sale or thrift store, BUY.They are harder to find good/cheap/free.
Some Ace Hardware have a line of excellent terra cotta in spring. Once they sell-out it's another year before the shipment arrives again.

Absolutely. Terra cotta pots can be expensive and take a long time to age.

Earlier in the year, I was lucky enough to pick up a lot of 80 or so secondhand at a reclaim place near here. Only 20 euro so a bargain.

"Ugly is easy, fabulous is intellect." - exactly!

Too bad many people, even designers, work even harder to make something uglier - instead of refining and reducing, to make a garden more appealing.

I just love terra cotta pots. I decoupage on them, use them for craft projects. And oh yes, I plant in them!

About this time last year, I found two rectangular italian terra cotta pots while on my walk. One had a hole in the side which wasn't a big deal to me, as I knew that the right plants would disguise it. So, I RAN home so I could make them MINE! They are now proudly stationed at the side entry to my garden and I LOVE them!
