The Well Placed Chair

Decrepit, sets the timeline at any spot across the last few decades.

A narrative.  Timelessness.

The Well Placed Chair must suit the theme you've chosen & leverage it.
.
You must have at least a pair of chairs for The Well Placed Chair rule !
.
Paint them the color of your front door, trim or shutters or an accent color threading thru all your interior art works.

Pics taken last weekend in my garden.  Oakleaf hydrangeas are incredible this year.  The Well Placed Chair rule was an epiphany after touring Sir Walter Scott's garden.

Where is Walter Scott's garden? (The wiki seems to be about him rather than touring possibilities)
It sounds like it would be a lovely tour, and now that I think about it, would love to see future posts on gardens you've toured. Any in upstate NY, for example?

One chair looks so lonely in the garden. A bench can get away with it. I like to see two chairs having a conversation, even when no one's there.

Pet peeve: chairs on display instead of placed for viewing.
