Patio & Folding Tables

Patio tables should be square.  Buy a pair & use them apart or pulled together.

 Buying folding tables?
Round tables, 36" diameter are best.  Seat 5, don't need a huge centerpiece, and conversation flows easily without breaking into 2 groups.

Pics taken at client jobsites last week.  Been doing the square patio table thing for decades.  The 36" folding table idea is pure magic from Susanne Hudson.

Ours is a hexagon, we built the deck to match. It does lend itself nicely to conversation.

I am going to purchase some folding tables in September. They are mainly going to be used for when we host parties (one of the unexpected consequences of building our house - we are now asked to host all sorts of fundraisers).

I was thinking about 48" or 60" round tables. I have a two 48" tables - one folding and one patio - that work well for when we have smaller parties (less than 20 people). However, I think 60" would be good for seating 8-10 for those larger events.

We like to put the folding tables on the far side of the pool, food in the kitchen, bar on our entertaining patio that connects to the kitchen and the living room. It creates good flow all around the property.

I find 48" to be good as you can comfortably sit 5, but squeeze in 6. Are you sure your client's folding tables aren't 48"?
