Annuals? Hardly green & sustainable, unless they are self-seeding.

She has annuals elsewhere in her garden, at her own pleasure. No need for the apartment complex style of annuals at the front curb.

More of Jeri Farmer's garden. Her husband is a dreamboat, and does much in the garden. With a smile too. Can't wait for the groundcovers to fill in, liriope above, and no more mulch. Mulch is not an end option. Again, hardly green & sustainable unless it's your own leaf/needle litter.

Lovely! Do you have any favorite plants to use for a topiary? And any favorite books explaining how to do it?
I'm guessing the answer is 'no' - but it seems it would take a lot of effort to maintain the shape.
Please help out us topiary virgins!

I put hostas in my shaded porch window box, miniature grasses and boxwoods in pots sunny places. Transplant in fall. No annuals in my garden at all at this point.
Yes!!Love leaf litter mulch, natural and good for the soil.
Is mulch okay if you make your own? Always love topiary...shape and form anywhere...
