P. Allen Smith was a featured speaker at the Maymont Garden Show a few years ago (much like yourself recently). He is an engaging speaker, just like you see him on his television programs, and every one of the members of the audience left the room energized after his presentation.
He will be the special guest at the Monticello Harvest Festival this weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia. I issued an invitation for him to come visit my garden of antique roses while he was in the 'neighborhood' (I'm only an hour from Monticello), but I never got a response to my invitation. It would have been nice if his people had at least sent his regrets.
His town property reminds me a lot of yours ... a city lot landscaped to the max with beautiful views from every angle.
