Don't let candlelight
be missing in your garden.
If they look this good during the day unlit
imagine their seduction at night.

Pics taken in Susanne Hudson's garden. Now, off to buy lanterns! Don't forget thrift stores & repurposing light fixtures.

What a great blog....glad I popped in! I LOVE garden art and the candle light makes everything even prettier. Happy Holidays from Houston!
Oh...we certainly do that. We will line our paths with regular jars with a votive in them during parties...we always have tiki torches and candles burning.
Beautiful reminder! Time for another garden party (now is when we start!)
Hi Tara,
Those are the most beautiful lanterns I think I've ever seen in a garden. Were they custom made?
This is the garden that you are doing a book about, correct? I can't wait to see it.

p.s. I've been thinking SO much about your thoughts on designing a house from the outside in. We were unable to do that while we were renovating but I can see that there is no reason why I can't start now. This is a very exciting revelation to me. Thanks.
Love it :) rusty beauty. so simple, so striking.
Kisses & hugs,
I totally agree.
There's nothing better for creating atmosphere on a warm evening. Very convivial.
