My previous home had windows on 2 walls of the kitchen, birds thought it was a fly through, my choice was to keep the windows 'dirty'. It worked.

Male hummingbirds are notorious to fight themselves in window reflections on your home, decals will help.

You realize clearly how I know this? Been there done that, buried the birds. Years have passed since it happened, I remember it like yesterday.

I have recently read that the bird-shaped decals are not that effective in deterring bird-hits, but that closely spaced (4" or less) stripes or dot grids are better (and still see-through). (google "window film to prevent bird strikes.")
I have ONE mirror in the GARDEN.................will adjust!
Thank you for posting this. I love the idea of mirrors in the garden and especially love the Monet-like reflection in your second photo. But no artwork, however beautiful, is worth killing birds as we enjoy it.
