I designed their garden several years ago, yesterday they sent their newest focal point, below.Less than a week ago my guys completed a client's duck house. Yesterday CBS-TV parked in front of their home. Storms, 2 days earlier took trees down & power was still out.

The duck house?

Smashed, gone. Ducks fine.

Cannot wait to meet Shiloh, top pic. Duck house? Will rebuild.
We're experiencing some of the same today here in the frozen north. Power out, seventy five mph gusts, and the siding on the front of my house torn off. I saw two birds blown out of a tree.
Too bad for me I have no fluffy white focal point...or maybe that's a good thing as he might've blown away.

I have been reading your blog for a while now trying to learn where to start in my yard. I have little experience and not much $$$.
So far is what I have learned from reading your blog - focal points, repition, copy, texture and simplicity.
The other day I decided to look at my "approach". I got out of my car in the driveway and went to the front door like any guest would do. Here are the changes I made (didn't cost much ) 1. I put my garbage can in the garage. 2. Removed and trimmed bushed that were saying "don't enter" as they crowded the pathway and almost made you walk off the path. 3. A fresh doormat.
Now I am working on a list of plants. Although I think I want to plant some trees first since they take so long to grow.
Thanks to your blog, I am looking for bug proof, drough proof, zero chameical, zero pruning and that peak at different times.

I am so sorry to hear about the damage. I really am. I know you know I would have inquired after the ducks. Glad to know they are fine.

Duck House?
I am intrigued Tara. Do they raise ducks?
Am I showing my southern roots?
Poor things, what a scare they probably had!

That good ol' Georgia weather! Thank goodness everything else was fine...ducks,family and their home.
Oh my goodness, so sorry for those who lost their duck house. How sad. Cute new focal point though for your other clients. :)
