Doesn't matter, from the house they look fabulous, their rattiness doesn't show.
Tulips last longer when you keep them in your conservatory.

Another bundle of tulips, bought the same day, placed inside my home are long gone.

Sometimes, Tara, a photograph helps to make them last longer (smile):

Tara, should have planted tulips this year. Would have got a bang for my buck with this cold we are having!
Having my pool installed and thinking of some Tara turf in my play area where the swingset, etc., will be. Hope you are doing great! Come see your parents and see me! xoxo Vikki
Tulips are the only florist flower I buy. May I offer a few tips? When you buy them wash each one individually to get out all the mud. Cut them all to the same height, which should be 1/4 shorter that you envision them in their vase, as they grow that much in height as they open. You may add water as they need it but never remove them from their vase to change the water as they'll bow and bend.
Tara I displayed a single rose given to me from a friends funeral in the downstairs bathroom. We have an old house so close off part of it to help with heating. This room is MUCH cooler then the rest of the house. That rose lasted almost a month! I was so amazed at how much longer life the coolness gave the rose.
Guess I need to live in a refrigerator all the time when I have cut flowers!

I guess you have to build a conservatory to learn these kind of things! :D
You inspired me to buy some white tulips (you inspire me to build a conservatory, but that takes more time). Thank you--they are lovely!
