I let a butcher block go thinking, 'what would I ever do with it?' Jeri knew exactly what to do, below, on her covered porch.
Intuitively she knew, below, it's important to make flat walls 3-D. Builders never complete a house properly with shutters, it's your job.
Her porch is mostly black, white, blue. She wears a lot of man tailored white shirts with black leggings & a pop of pink lipstick.

I always look to what my clients wear for the secondary colors to their trinity.

My heart skipped a beat when I laid eyes on that butcher block! How WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteI might be on the right track, regarding my porch. . . I painted a wall shelf to hang today. This is the kick in the pants to go ahead and do it!
Signature clothing colors? Khaki & black with a pop of color: usually red or aqua/turquoise. Not sure how to incorporate on the porch, but something to think about!
You are an uber-designer. Used to work with a principal at a large firm, and she was an architect and interior designer (ran the latter dept)...perfectly matched like you note Jeri as. Though a hopeless desert phobe as long as she stayed in familiar home town of Abq...
ReplyDeleteLovely! I have a similar butcher block....residing at a friend's house right now
ReplyDeleteYour blog is downright dangerous to read. In the best possible way, of course.
ReplyDeleteCheers to life in 3-D
