Oh what we learned......and how we bonded.....

Crisis teaches just who we are.
So happy you and the trees and the chickens all survived. And learned so much.
It puts everything in perspective. Quickly. I wouldn't wish it on anyone; but very blessed it happened to us. And we all learned. Pretty close to everything important.

Penelope Bianchihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07863486521957665886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-935757824325245429.post-21810670572667876812017-09-13T21:37:05.345-04:002017-09-13T21:37:05.345-04:00GOOD GRIEF TARA!!!!!!!!!WHAT A STORY.................GOOD GRIEF TARA!!!!!!!!!WHAT A STORY...............
HAPPY TO HEAR ALL IS A OKAY.........and what A GUY!MINE would do the same!MIne just called........told him I was reading see YOU LATER and HURRY UP!Can he EVER come HOME EARLY???NEVER!
As for the YOUNG helping the elderly................I think that is something that with be GONE with this GENERATION!Too busy with games and phones and themselves willNOT have the skills to HELP!
BIG HUG,
And the KITTY's.............all GOOD?
XXLa Contessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01682902106545680159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-935757824325245429.post-84230978583333854392017-09-13T14:33:26.901-04:002017-09-13T14:33:26.901-04:00I'm more afraid of water moccasins than hurric...I'm more afraid of water moccasins than hurricanes. You're a brave determined woman, a kind of pioneer woman facing so many new challenges, and it sounds as if you come by it genetically. It's good to hear that you have your own Ezra alongside.

I hope that your power comes back on soon, Tara! My mother and sisters in Orlando got theirs back on and are fine although sisters facing lots of yard clean up. Our daughter and son-in-law in Ponte Vedra Beach are fine although the lake behind them is almost level with their terrace, and getting to her office in Jacksonville may still be a problem and snakes and alligators in yards a worry.

And I saw that dear Flower Lady Lorraine in south FL, also your reader, is fine, as is her house, garden another matter.

Stay safe,
Dewena

Dewenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07330797553600987145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-935757824325245429.post-36875821038549404002017-09-13T12:54:31.143-04:002017-09-13T12:54:31.143-04:00What an adventure! We did have a huge storm some years back that knocked out our power for 96 hours. My hubby ran 300 feet of outdoor extension cords from our generator to the neighbor's house to power his oxygen tank. We also drove around so hubby (a logger) could cut downed trees out of the roads. It made me proud. I can't shoot, though, or run a chainsaw with a 30" bar, the generator and transfer switch still make me nervous...but I'm glad I live with someone who can do all of that for us and others!Amy L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/17013013895577702357noreply@blogger.com
