A Bedroom View

From the chair, left, a view across the new deck into their Wild Wood.

This room, above, is an almost complete addition to their master bedroom.

A portion of the new deck, above, with a door from the master bedroom.

She hired me for this view.  Should an arbor with swing be placed?  No.  It would stop the view from the bedroom.  Instead, a low round table with 4 adirondack chairs stained the color of her kitchen cabinets.  Views into the Wild Wood are the focal point on axis.
.
Of course we've redone the entire garden.  Simply.

Pics taken last week.  Deck will be stained.  She was kind letting me take pics her house is a tornado of renovation.

With that view, it would be really difficult to gather the discipline to leave one's bedroom each morning ... unless a similar view is to be had in the kitchen, perhaps.

I think such a view from bed or a bedroom might draw me to get going faster, so I can sit out in it. Very nice...I enjoy rolling over this time of year and see the blooming salvias, as my small table blocks the lighting and dead plants I have to fix!

I'd like to see the wintertime view. At my house, by the end of the summer I'm tired be being boxed in by the trees, know what I mean? As much as a I hate the cold weather, when the leaves are gone it's as if I can see for miles. So the winter view better be good.

Beautiful - the view from the window is like being on the tree walk at the Botanical Garden.

One of my favorite master bedroom views was in Brooke Giannetti's old house (based on pictures) - a twisted old tree was right outside the window, giving the impression that the bedroom was like a treehouse.

We created the view from our master as the best view in the house - our reasoning was that we built the house for us, not for people we entertain. I love throwing open the curtains every morning and surveying the scene.
